Uncrafty DIY/ Repurpose

Party Ideas. Party themes. Party Design. DIY party. Repurpose Party. Design on a dime party. Over-the-top-parties & Events

One of the many reasons I created this blog is to be able to share some easy and inexpensive DIY projects for your next Event.
I’m really super excited about sharing my projects here. ( I hear loud screams in the background) I think if there is one thing that could really get my creative juices into frills & thrills, its the idea of coming up with another cool, and hopefully inexpensive project that cost almost absolutely nothing.
But even better than just creating another project, it’s the idea of repurposing existing items that you may already have.
So here’s some of the cool stuff I have come up for you.
(I know the list is short, but I am working on this. I am sure as you’re scrolling down and seeing something familiar, you might be thinking, I’ve seen that before, or I’ve thought of that before. Well, good! My main goal is to gather all these ideas and put them into one place. Whether you’re doing an over the top event by using your resources from your own home or just want to be super creative (a la Martha Stewart style) in hosting a small gathering, I want this to be a big resource in your party planning. And yes, I want your ideas too (we absolutely love easy DIYs or something extremely impressive) So feel free to submit your work and I will be super excited to receive and post them here as well (you can send me a link if you wish).
And if you would like to post something from my site, you are more than welcome to do so. Just credit to my original link and me the creator).

What you need:

You can purchase a pre-cut burlap at any craft store or for an even better savings, use rice sack if you have any

Trace the pre-cut sack, jeans and bandanas (bandanas are around 99cents at any craft store) and cut.

Adhere pieces with hot glue into twine or use safety pins. You can spell out a name or a birthday sign. Hang above your table or anywhere you wish.

Repurpose project

Use twigs from your yard to skewer marshmallows. The longer the better. It looks cute and costs nothing.

*DIY from our Mother's Day page (click link to see all the projects we've made from this one kit)

*Cut Pine tree from our front yard repurposed as side table. Can be used as a cake stand as well.

Easy gift bag Make-over

I bought this bag for a tropical shower which I didn't notice only had one handle. Instead of returning or exchanging it, I decided to do a very simple makeover.

I punched holes on the side of the bag that didn't have the handle and removed the existing  ones. Took a nice lace ribbon from one of my shopping bags (shhh we all have these vs bags lying around somewhere in the house)

Dressed it up a bit more with an extra lei I have on hand and attached it in front of the bag shaped into a heart.
And here it is!
