Tropical Baby on Board Baby Shower

Tropical Baby on Board Baby Shower

I've recently styled a baby shower. It was an extremely hot and rare humid day and even with the canopy, we had a hard time keeping the cake from completely melting. The ants were also super aggressive and knew exactly where the sweets were so we had to keep watch on that too.
Overall it was a great party and here's how it turned out.

The cupcakes were slightly dusted with brown sugar to make it look like beach sand

The mommy-to-be provided a full bar of drinks including a tamarind drink which I didn't get a chance to try but I was sure it was good.

I like to use natural elements as much as I can. These leaves were perfect. I love how they brought the feel of nature into the whole design.

Thank goodness for the pool. It cooled everybody off

4th of July treats

Super easy 4th of July treats so you can get out of the kitchen and enjoy the fireworks!

We've chosen a few and easy to make treats and drinks for your 4th of July Celebration. They are super simple, fast and fun to make.

Our List & Photos:

1: Rice Krispy treats popsicle treats
Heres' our #1 pick. Rice krispy treats have become a tradition. Follow box instructions in making the treat, form made treats into a rectangle shape, slightly rounding one end, insert popsicle stick on the opposite end. Dip in white chocolate or regular chocolate (you may use melting chocolate) Sprinkle with red, white and blue sprinkles & voila!

2) Our 2nd pick is this flag fruit kabobs.
It is super easy to make. Just skewer strawberries(top cut off), bananas(peel/slice about 1 inch) and blueberries. Follow just like the photo below.

3. Colored popcorn
Just pop in the microwave or you can use a popcorn maker. Divide into three portions. Mix light corn syrup with food coloring (red & blue separately), canola oil. Heat in microwave. Mix popcorn in mixture until the colors are pretty even. That is it. Enjoy!

4. Watermelon Berry Surprise.
Place raspberries in icecube tray(about 3 in each cube) fill with water and freeze. In a blender mix ice & watermelon chunks (make sure not to add too much ice-just enough for it to be cold) Pour in glass, add ice with frozen fruit, fresh blueberries and garnish with sliced oranges.

Enjoy!
